Volunteers are an important part of Crossroads for Women.

Your contribution as a volunteer allows us to provide the best service and support to our families.

Some of our volunteer positions include:​
  • Meal Preparation
  • Food boxes pick up for the Transition House
  • Food boxes pick up and delivery for Second Stage
  • Moving furniture for residents
  • Punctual tasks (painting, gardening, etc.)
  • Do you have a special skill that you would like to share?


APPLICATION PROCESS

Volunteers must be 19 years or older.​

  1. Complete a volunteer application form
  2. Our Volunteer Coordinator will get in touch will you and will ask you to complete a few forms;
  3. Attend an orientation session;
  4. Confirm your availability and the type of volunteering you are interested in;
  5. Submit a criminal background check.

We will review your volunteer application once it's been submitted, and we will contact you if our current volunteer openings match your interests and availability. If no suitable position is available at this time, your application will be kept on file for a period of 6 months and will be considered for future volunteer openings.

Volunteering as a group or on behalf of an organization is also an option. Check out your company's Corporate Social Responsibility policy to see if they support volunteering on behalf of your company.
